I spent a week looking for the steepest streets in SF to make this

Heh, very much fun!

The problem they faced is that a lot of steep sidewalks have steps cut into them as giveaways. Like Jones St. and Gough St at Washington. There's a few street blocks that hit 30% grade.

I think i recognized a few around UCSF and Potrero Hill.
