Ask HN: How to get college students excited about web companies
I'm presenting to a class Comp Sci college seniors next week. My goal is to get them excited about being software engineers on web products.
The curriculum of this university is focused on lower-level course: core algorithms, data structure, compilers, CPU architecture, etc (I'm not judging whether the curriculum is right or wrong). It took me several years to figure out that "the web" was where it's at (and mobile apps may be the more current corollary) for me.
So, any suggestions about how to get them excited?
