Mesosphere (Mesos/Marathon) brings Borg/Omega clusters to Google Compute Engine

Having worked at Google for many years, it's been a delight to see much of their world class infrastructure gradually replicated as open source technologies. One of delights as a Google engineer, is that deployment and scaling of application services was so easy to do. I've been involved with Mesophere which is has just launched this as a service for Google Compute Engine.

The result is that you can quickly and easily start applications on a Mesosphere cluster that offers fault tolerance and scalability with minimal configuration. Clusters are production ready and run with the performance of Google's infrastructure. Along with incorporating Kubernates in to Mesos, I've enjoyed using the system, which is something that I've missed since leaving Google.
