Ask HN: How good is good enough to be successful?
I consider myself as a Jack of all trades, master of none.
As I go along learning and building stuff, I have to admit that none has turned out the way I wanted it to be - in terms of success (money, popularity,...).
Of course I learned new technologies but the implementation never feels as crisp as of other successful companies.
There is always so much you could do better, more beautiful and so on but as a one-man show you have limitations. You cannot be the master of design and programing.
I would like to ask HN: What kind of tool-set do you need to be successful in the tech world? How good is good enough?
