I am building a minimalist note app for taking quick notes, simple UI, but still powerful enough for serious use.

It work as simple as a Text editor, while providing features of an advanced note taking apps.

My priority is, make writing the thought effortless, and add the context, while writing the note, and only if want to add it.

Notes in my app are just one line, but allows you to assign the context with To-Do, Projects and Tags, in that same line, or you can just add them later, you can do inline calculations too.

And then I made it faster to find notes too. You can filter your notes using contexts, drill down as much as needed, very quickly.

What makes this difference is, all are done from a single place, not spread throughout the UI, without fiddling with any fancy tree view, buttons, or menus.

You can check here: https://mtarin.com/projects/nift/ Also have a demo link there for anyone to try it out.

I am working on a development harness using AI agents. There are plenty on the market, but I wanted something that encourages builders to build commercial solutions, not small POCs. In my experience, most stop at demos and betas. The name is funny, I know, but it has a significant meaning for me. When I started using AI, even with excellent prompt design, it always took me down the happy path. Most AI is designed to satisfy the prompt without really questioning the quality of what it delivers. And then the bad surprises start showing up. A commercial application needs much more than a prompt can deliver: security, usability, deployment, maintenance, users management, cloud, web or native design, and of course quality. It takes a full stack to build one. After months of trial and error, I reached this verdict: -You need a watcher to keep the AI from hallucinating and drifting. And facilitating the route if issues appears during developments and tests. -Never let the developer agent test its own work and claim it's done. -Build a reviewer from a different company's AI to refute the developer's claims and build its own tests. -Let the user be manage the final delivery gate I also built the plumbing to keep the context small and make it easy for non-coders. You describe what you want and approve the requirements. Then the agents build and test it on the machine the software is meant for, with no one needed until you review the delivered solution and approve it. It builds web or native software for Linux, Windows and Mac. It's open source: https://github.com/nomorehappypath/nomorehappypath

I am working on chartrow.com to visualize financial data in a fun, fast and intuitive way.

One recent addition is the top-performers page which shows the top stocks for a given time period. Example, you can look at the best stocks of the past 10 years (best viewed on desktop):

As a table: https://chartrow.com/top-performers#p=10y

As a multichart: https://chartrow.com/top-performers#p=10y&view=multichart

Heatmap of the top ETFs YTD: https://chartrow.com/top-performers#in=etfs&p=ytd&view=heatm...

I tried to make the screener intuitive and fast: https://chartrow.com/screener#view=charts (drag the sliders and watch the row of charts update quickly)

This visualization shows market breadth (i.e. measures of the statistics of groups of stocks instead of a cap-weighted index): https://chartrow.com/market-breadth#below-high-history

And some cool widgets to the front page: https://chartrow.com/#longer-term

Please comment below what other visualizations would folks want to see so I can add them (and report any data inaccuracy issues too!). TYSM.

I'm building AllZonefiles (https://allzonefiles.io), aiming to make it the best domain data platform on the internet.

It covers 380M+ domains, with daily domain lists, additions/removals, and zonefiles with nameserver data. I recently added statistics for most zones, including domain counts and growth trends.

You might be surprised by what people build with domain data.

HNowledge[1], a free iOS app for browsing the HN stories and comments I've upvoted. Made it to fit the way I browse HN, which is upvoting mainly what I find interesting and may want to come back to. The app lets you browse by date, domain or score, add notes and export. Apart from syncing your upvotes from HN, everything stays local without any tracking.

Wanes[2], an Apple Health logging interface for tracking how long symptoms last. I tend to have headaches quite often and the way Apple lets you enter that data is pretty limited, so I created an app which starts a Live Activity for one or more symptoms using widgets, Control Center or Siri. You can change the severity rating while it runs and stop it from wherever you are on your phone (Home Screen, Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, Siri).

I'm making a browser-based MMO experience of sorts for the 1999 Dreamcast game Shenmue - it's still pretty rough around the edges but people who like the game have liked it so far. The full working storyline mode will be out this week:

https://www.newyokosuka.com/

I'm also close to finishing an browser-based client for the MMOFPS Planetside:

https://terrasunder.net/play/

I'm getting reports of performance issues for TerraSunder from a couple people so if you run into them, submitting a performance report in the settings would help me a lot!

I have some other cool projects listed on my site here, including a browser-based version of EverQuest that plays itself: https://brynnbateman.com/

EQ project is https://idlequest.net/

I'm working on a directory website for REAL voiceover artists. No AI stuff, I feel that we are getting to a point where even a voice recorded by a non-pro on not so great equipment is way more valuable than a perfectly polished piece of audio.

If you're interested go take a look at https://voicefolk.com it's early days, but feedback is appreciated and yes even you could sell your voice.

Any brands here, have you considered using real voices in the age of AI?

I've been pretty curious to see if I can help reduce LLM hallucinations by giving LLM's more deterministic tools. My current attempt is something like the old StatWing but instead of a GUI, it has an mcp interface for LLM's. A demo, with very limited llm budget and might run out if heavily used, is at https://statimedes.com. I haven't built the GUI to upload a random csv's, but I did load the Telco churn data I found on Kaggle.

I've also experimented with the Brazil purchase data from Olist. That was pretty fun because it has more than on csv. The tool managed pretty well and was able to come to statistically correct conclusions.

I'm working on documentation for zshot[1][2]. Kinda like "what if browser automation had curl-like ergonomics, but also was extremely agent friendly, but also could turn into your headless browser infrastructure". I've been working on it for a while now and have incurred a hell of a debt of "explain what it is and how to do it", so working that debt off bit by bit.

Working on an Apple Notes clone, but everything is a local Markdown file. Currently free, macOS (Silicon + Intel) and Windows. Has tags and priorities, can display many scientific syntaxes (mhchem, most TeX / LaTeX stuff, Excalidraw, PlantUML, Graphviz / DOT, Vega-Lite, and actual Markdown footnotes). Can show notes in vertical lanes like JIRA does. Free iCloud sync too. Still early alpha.

Time travel heist: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.timetrav...

It's a time travel puzzle game (Android mobile) where you can unlock the door after you walk through it. A bit of a passion project of mine.

I build a weather app this year which shows you a heatmap of when it is sunny over the next 10 days, hour by hour.

This is particularly useful for colder countries as I just want to know when the sun is out, regardless of temperature.

Picked it up again this month.

I have been building https://www.accessmrf.com/ to make healthcare price transparency files easy to access to researchers. I index the healthcare pricing files published by more than 180 different insurers in one place, to make them easier to find, and I am developing on ways to make the data even more digestible.

Voiden, an open-source API client where every request is a Markdown file in your repo, with the environment, tests and docs in the same file. It runs locally with no account, works in CI, and agents can run the same requests over MCP. We open-sourced it this year. https://voiden.md/

I've been building Splorbit for about a year (pretty much since Claude got good at coding). The demo is live now for Steam Next Fest! If you like horde survival games like Vampire Survivors and Brotato you will like it. https://splorbit.vercel.app/

I am working on simplified universal rules to define any kind of traffic redirection or asset request redirection or proxy or reverse proxy and so on. The rules are defined, the logic is almost completely written, and now I am writing the test automation cases.
