Beijing residents dispose of drones ahead of ban on ownership

It makes sense, despite being useful - in densely populated areas it present a hazard just like ground based street traffic or air space around an airport that has no control tower. No doubt other cities around the world will introduce the same, though they may allow storage for those where the batteries can be removed.
