Shared writing is a form of communication which begs the question: Who are you trying to communicate with? Answer: The people 'out there'. Which begs the question: Who are the people out there? Answer: Mostly top-down thinkers (by your own admission). Which begs the question? How are you trying to communicate with them? Answer: With bottom-up writing. QED.
