Have you noticed any changes in the way people communicate now we have chatbots?
Compared with about a year ago, have you noticed any changes in how you’re interacting with other people, or in how they’re interacting with you? If so, what has changed? I think I’m noticing real changes in friends who are using chatbots a lot to replace some interactions that might otherwise have occurred with people, specifically for advice or emotional support. I’m wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or has any intuitions or insights from these experiences.
i did not experience any load-bearing changes, honestly, that one is up to me.
my friends are stable. In some discourses, we tend to chat about things - but thats not helpful at all, chatbot takes position of the asker most of the time. One can't win an actual argument with it.
Also, you need to consider to be falling for a kind of survivorship bias - you search for something and then you see some hints that supports your thinking and you draw the conclusion it must be so. But in the real, there are coincendencies and not causalities. I notice that i sometimes "prove" things other said to me. And of course, if it was wrong, my behavior or my thinking changed. Then the person who did tell me wrong might experience and see it as "you talk to much to gemini and that change your behavior".
Its difficult to see changes in other humans without automatically judge or grade them as a human. In general, my duty is to keep some of the friends aware of the mathematical magic happening behind the chat - so they are aware that there's might be something wrong happening in the chat. But this is a different story :)
