... Theurer put two conditions to his work: neither the attacking nor defending states would be named, and the game would be purely defensive and never put players in situations where they would be the aggressor. ... Players would also not be able to retaliate, as that would be a scenario of mutual assured destruction, which Theurer didn't find noble: "I did not want to put the player in a position of being a genocidal maniac. Only a crazy person would sling nuclear weapons without context, right?".[9] ... The only possible game outcome of total destruction was also a message on the futility of war.

Genuinely fun. I played through twice.

Neat concept. I managed to get to level 5 on a tablet. Simple games are often the most enjoyable.

Level 5 is a pretty massive difficulty spike. Not sure if there's tech that I'm missing (it seems like 3 and 4 pretty strongly encourage double hits), or if I'm just bad.

Hate to have to be that guy, but, ACKSHULLY, you already do launch the missiles in Missile Command. That's literally the entire game, in fact, launching missiles to intercept other missiles.

    Everyone knows what OP meant.

I'm still confused. Do you just get the commands and have to run the launcher to shoot where some unseen player tells you?

"Missile Command, but you launch the attack" would be way clearer.

You’re aiming to do the destruction this time, rather than saving civilization.

    WELL ACTUALLY

    you launch unguided rockets
