It is likely these were imported partially assembled. The finished Ojai vehicles are probably assembled by Magna in Arizona. Depending on how much financial fudge Zeekr and Waymo think they can get away with, the amount that subject to tariffs could be modest.
It's not unusual to fudge the price of components. A familiar example is the way Intel pays PC OEMs to put Intel inside stickers on their PCs.
Hey as long as they're paying the tariffs fairly. I say fair game. This seems like a price point that we can actually compete in.
They'll request refunds eventually. Consumers can't. B2B certainly can.
