There Aren’t Really 30 Million Vegetarians in Brazil

I stumbled upon a statistic cited by the New York Times and other high-profile sources about how many people in Brazil are vegetarian. I traced it back to its source and find that in reality, the share of vegetarians is probably an order of magnitude smaller than claimed on Wikipedia and elsewhere.
