'Temu Range Rovers' Are Taking over Britain
telegraph.co.ukI heard that term about the Hyundai Santa Fe first. Now it's the Chinese manufacturers giving JLR competition.
Of course if you drive the actual vehicle back to back with a Land Rover, you'll find that looks or interior do not a Rover make. For now anyway.
I trust you realise that JLR is now owned by Indian steel company Tata?
Doesn't even matter who owns them. Reliability is consistently terrible and the vehicles are consistently nice to drive.
Actually it does matter. They were terrible cars when owned by the British. And there's a chance they'll be much less terrible being owned by the Indians. I'm not sure they're that good to drive either. I had a Jag for a while and it was okay. But a bit of a wallowing boat and don't get me started on the roadholding of a Rangy.
What are you missing from a Range Rover if you get one of these? They’re probably more reliable. They just need to work on the terrible names - Geely, Zeekr, Jaecoo? They sound like they smashed a keyboard and then maybe added some vowels.

Anyway, it sucks that competitive products are being written off as "Temu [Whatever]", when Temu is low quality because half of its products are actively falling apart and/or coated in toxic chemicals.
I see no reason to assume the same of Chinese vehicles, which largely review well and have been ahead of others in the field for a while now (value proposition-wise at least).
