DHH, Tobi Lutke, Elon Musk... this new "movement" of tech leaders being vocally vile and openly 4chan inspired, is very interesting and terrifying. Are they trying to build some kind of movement? Certainly, conventional wisdom has been to not be openly racist in public spaces. It feels like they have circled their wagons and gone on the attack. You can find mainstream VCs complaining about "woke" culture daily. That the richest people in the world (literally) are worried about well... anything at all, is farcical on impact.

Turns out the conventional wisdom is wrong.

Not only are there tons of people who love it when you're openly racist, but also a lot of people who will tolerate it so long as you're rich (and can therefore make them rich). Between the two, you get a very strong alliance: both are super-excited by you, and even if they don't like each other they'll work together to defeat anybody who doesn't like you.

    Democracy-ending, neoreactionary accelerationist fascism.

Oh that's the omarchy guy. Yeah I would not touch anything he has created with a long stick unless there was feces upon the end of it.

Ruby on Rails has needed new leadership for a long time.
