instantdb.comStrange. Not a lot of information on their decision making. Have they been bought by OpenAI? Is OpenAI building something similar and they’re buying the tech? Why sunset?
Friday night email? Are they ashamed to announce this or excited?
"On August 31st, 2027, all cloud apps will shut down" ... so, just 8 days to migrate production dependence on them??
These super small timelines are becoming way more common now-a-days... people need to be careful what external dependencies they bring into their projects.

I always wonder how little companies like that even get users, and why users would trust them.
We take our trust in our users seriously. This is why existing apps are supported until August 31st, 2027 (1 year, 10 days away). Backups will stay available until August 31st, 2028 (2 years). The product is full open source, and we put a lot of work in making it easy to self-host.
