As happy WSL user myself, I can see why it grows and drives Ubuntu adoption too.
What exactly is a Linux native PC? A PC that was purchased with Linux installed? Linux runs natively on just about anything that boots.
They mean PCs with Ubuntu installed as the host operating system, as opposed to a PC where Windows 11 is the host OS, and Ubuntu is just a VM inside WSL.
Maybe a machine that did not require the inclusion of a Windows license in the purchase price?
At one point, I think Dell would let you subtract a small amount from an order when no OS was installed.
In this context it is Linux booting on hardware and not in virtualization.
As I said before [0], the best Linux distro is Windows (with WSL2).
I would not claim on best distro for all the types of tasks, but in certain areas, when you well, just need stable Linux compatible environment related to sysadmin and development tasks - indeed it rocks, agree.
