Tell HN: I Bought a Pocket Notebook
I realized I was using taskwarrior, joplin and habitica. All for different stuff.
It ends today, I bought a pocket notebook, a page is a day. Formats and ways to go about documenting things will be mine to create. I feel better already.
I'm at a turning point in life, planning a move, so I yanked four small Clairefontaine notebooks off the shelf and assigned them these functions.
1. MUST DO, downsize, repair, includes running numbers on what I can afford.
2. TO DO TODAY ... Yeah, do it now. Just added three bills to pay.
3. Things to get (that aren't food). Totes, small repair items.
4. Food shopping.
PS. I also keep a journal, short on to-do items because of the above, but it's a a good record of what I got done (or didn't) each day. It's a semi-dated journal (fill in the days of the week above the numbers) from CVS.
I've done all of the note taking stuff, evernote, todoist, trello, emacs org-mode, notion, obsidian.
