Ask HN: Early Feedback on Dez?
Hi all I am building a open source ide based on zed it's nothing too fancy but I( along with codex)have been working on it for 1 month now I would like genuine feedback and contributions if needed. The current version is v 0.4 and I will release it officially on show hn for v 1.0. I am asking for guidance so I can move forward with a Direction.
Repo link : github.com/oreoro/dez What is the #1 problem it is meant to address that other IDEs don’t? What’s a non-goal (i.e. out of scope, at least for the foreseeable future)? Glassmorphic design out of the box + terminals(via cmux) for agentic chats + full editor for editing if needed It works like a chrome browser with a + button which includes features like git history / debug /new termianl / new file etc My goal is to make dez have actual user and a working community. I dont have big aims. I just want to have a good and polished open source repo if that makes sense The intended user is obviously me for now ( since I am the only contributor and user now) but I want more ideas so more people can use it
