Ask HN: What's your monthly personal AI budget?
Just wondering how much everyone is spending on AI each month personally - not employer-paid or work subscriptions.
I'm still on the $20 Anthropic plan but I really should move to the $100 plan. I guess I haven't been using Claude Cowork/Code as much in my personal subscription (on the Enterprise plan for work though)
I was happily doing all my coding on the $20 plan. I had to upgrade to the $100 plan once I started using Claude Design. I was spending $20-50/day on extra credits while on the $20 plan. The $100 plan more than covers it.
-1000$. I use LLMs for free and get the best value out of them by not using them for coding.
I use to pay for Anthropic top tier plan but I cancelled it in May. Until there is some reckoning with what this bubble is doing and how these companies are behaving, I'm staying out personally. My job provides AI subscription but I use it as little as possible because I don't want to contribute to usage charges.
