Tell HN: Fable Credits Are 150x More Expensive
I’m on a Max 20x subscription and can use Fable for several days before the weekly quota runs out.
By contrast, I bought $250 worth of credits and burned through them in an hour.
I’m trying to understand who the target customer is.
It's a loss leader, and also credits can be used in more ways like integrating directly into a product (why would you do this? haven't really seen a great use case yet I dunno).
Enterprises would be my guess. At its current price, though, I honestly don't find Fable worth it (it's good, just too expensive).
You went through 5 million tokens in an hour? You would be significantly benefitted by using fable as an orchestrator for other models
Have you by any chance also tried GPT-5.6 Sol? Curious how that compares.
