It baffles me. Airbnb squeezes local workers out of apartments. (This is literally the only coherent argument I’ve heard from the anti-tourism people)

So let’s ban the tourists (not the Airbnbs that are the actual problem)

What you fail to realize is that Tourists bring money to your city. They buy drinks from your favorite bar. Lunch from a struggling local cafe. They pay cab drivers. They buy your cousin’s crappy art on the street corner, because while it may suck it sucks in a distinctly Barcelona way, and that’s what people come to experience.

You’re banning the people who pay money to come appreciate your culture.

You do you, but it doesn’t seem very clever to me. Happy to stay away forever. There are 500 other cities in the world I can go visit.

    They also raise prices to an international average in city centers, that become exclusion zones for the majority of the locals.
