Thinking quickly, Dave constructs a homemade megaphone using only some string, a squirrel, and a megaphone.

This to me is very misleading, in a similar way to a recent headline about 'one shotting' Minecraft.

They both use an existing thing as the base, create me a Minecraft clone or create a version of Windows NY kernel in Rust.

If you want to impress me do both of those things with out referencing the source material.

So ca you describe Minecraft or the NY kernel in sufficient detail to allow it to build from the ground up.

We're done here. I've gone far enough.

God I hate reading these LLM-written articles. It also feels like it was one-shotted by Claude, not just the kernel.

Are the sources published somewhere?

Anthropic should have source access through contracts for service with microslop.

TBF, with source access, this is really disappointing considering the hype that Fable has been endowed with by the media and the Whitehouse. I would have expected something more like 3-5 minutes. I feel like Opus or Sonnet wouldn't be far behind this number for a rust refactor of 100k-1m lines, even from binary.

- but the frontier labs still control it

- every request you send them, every ounce of code you send them, you are helping them train and gain power over everyone else

- you are concentrating power into the hands of those few by actually using their product

- if you used open source models instead, this wont be an issue

Bit late for all of that, we already handed corporations the largest set of training data they could possibly ask for, in the form of open source, for free. They already smashed the window and took everything on display.
