Tell HN: Fable is now credits only
Fable stopped working as part of my subscription around 3am EST.
Edit: Someone posted they are still going strong. Maybe I just hit an API error. Claude/Anthropic has too much drama going on. That’s their secret to stay on the social media front page. Every other day there’s a big story from Anthropic or someone complaining about Claude. Works for me in Claude Code and in the chat interface /w a personal Max subscription. The message I'm getting is that it's available "through" July 7th, which probably means for the rest of the day? I had networking errors, so maybe unrelated? If others can start it normally, the 3 AM ET issue is more likely a minor glitch with token or API refreshes, rather than a total Fable outage. Mine's working. I maxed out the tokens yesterday. But my limit reset 10am today. So I guess I have one more day. Anthropic said 11:59:59pm July 7th Bummer honestly I am wondering if people check their use case in ask before deciding which model to be used? Feels like hyping on whatever is being released by one of the big players
