X has launched its complete rewrite of X Web

So, it appears you can no longer sign up for an account without using your phone number or existing Google/Apple accounts. Goodbye anonymity and goodbye to the majority of their user base.

I thought this was funny because they've rewritten it seemingly with the primary goal of trying to get you to not use it.

TL;DR: open app, use the app, install the app, have you opened the app yet?
