Ask HN: How to delete Hacker News profile?
Email dang hn@ycombinator.com to request your account be deleted.
I don't believe you can delete your profile, they'd just change your username to something else. Your comments remain forever.

In summary one can delete their account but they have to specify a reason to clear out all the comments.
Well yes, otherwise they would have to delete my humourous though also amazingly insightful replies. The future would thank no one for that.
