Bobby Prince Jr (composer of classic Doom soundtrack) has passed away

He'll be missed. In addition to scoring a lot of Apogee's games before moving over to id Software, he also helped produce a lot of the digital sound effects, such as the powerful machine gun sound in Wolfenstein 3D.

What a life. Survived the Vietnam War, tried to become a lawyer, became a music composer. And he got married to his soulmate at the age of 60, one year after receiving a lifetime achievement award for his video game music.

I can just close my eyes and hear the Doom soundtrack (and more stuff he made). He truly made an impact. Great talent RIP.
