What does high effort mean when AI has made everything low effort?
it's incredibly easy to ship code now. but, what does this mean when the number of good ideas are tried at levels never seen before? It's not that all AI's are shipping "slop", but it does mean that the number of less than stellar ideas are permeating the space. This is dragging down the average of what's possible. This also has the negative effect of bringing down the perceived value of genuinely good ideas. Software development still follows the Pareto principle, except instead of 80/20 it's now more 95/5. In my opnion, high effort nowadays means the ability to be able to judge on the increasing number of ideas being shipped
