Tell HN: Max messenger app removed from App Store
Apple has deplatformed the Max app from it's store.
Messenger app has over 100 million registered and 70 million daily active users.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_(app) I was wondering when Apple will stop operating in countries run by totalitarian surveillance regimes just for profit. Selling its technology to those countries makes the company complicit in human rights abuses. By that definition you'd include most of the western world nowadays. USA, Israel, UK are the worst offenders on that matter. And push notifications have stopped working, even if app remains on device, calls no longer going through. Democracy, F*k Yeah!
