Interesting article, well-written, tad excessive in places, ironically, given that it's about Fallon's specific brand of excessivity (neologism all mine.) But here are some tl;dr style choice quotes:

* Fallon acts as the high priest of a terrified optimism, his rictus grin serving as a shield against the encroaching silence of the real. * Instead, they [Fallon's "games" like the lip sync battles] represent the total commodification of play. * There has not yet been a second giveaway [of NFTs, the first being with Paris Hilton in 2022], but perhaps with this particular blend of vapid, ritualistic positivity and speculative, environmentally damaging technology, once was enough.

I'll spare the HN audience the rage-bait of the description of his interview with Altman. The rest of the article is somewhat heavy on lit-crit language and cliches, but it ain't untrue.
