Ask HN: What would you want in a GitHub alternative?
Hey HN hackers & devs,
Let's say if a GitHub alternative existed with better uptime and support, would you be interested in using it? And what would be your non negotiables for such service? It wouldn't be hosted such that uptimes are an issue, it would get back to git's distributed roots. Like Tangled, but with private repos. Chat would be great (github's biggest missed opportunity imo), but the real moat at GitHub is that sweet sweet (free) action time. is CI/CD a tie breaker? Their free actions and robust ecosystem is a huge moat
