Claude Pro expired and my $40 in prepaid Extra Usage credits vanished
My Claude Pro subscription lapsed and the prepaid Extra Usage balance was gone with it! Anthropic's docs tie Extra Usage to an active Pro plan but don't spell out what happens to unused credits on cancellation or expiry. No warning or payout option I would have noticed. And there is no refund flow surfaced in the UI too. Anthropic's whole subscription plans, models, performances, and token usage are lately a big issue for everybody. They started so good, now a lot of people are pissed off. You are the next, unfortunately :( Don't vibe code your critical business logic and infra. Try creating a new chat every so often.
