Does this mean Google is a proscribed terrorist organisation or whatever the legal designation is and can no longer work with the US government?
No. Google can’t make use of Anthropic within the scope of their own government contracts. That doesn’t mean they can’t invest in Anthropic otherwise.
Does the EO actually hold any weight to that designation, or is that decided by the US Congress?
Was there ever anything more than a tweet from the secretary of defense? That holds no weight.
