  The position is very well paid but the tasks are rather simple crud.

Most of my time isn't even spent coding. It's spent trying to figure out what actually needs to be coded or resolving dependencies from other teams that hold up development on my end. I end up writing all my own user stories, because no one else is going to write them for me. If someone assigns me a random user story, it warrants a conversation, as something is probably wrong and information is probably lacking, to the point that it shouldn't even be done.
