iOS 18 security update for all iPhone users
9to5mac.comThis made me happy. I had a second hand iPhone 13 mini stuck on 18.2 with no upgrade path other than iOS26 (which is not a good fit for the 13 or my eyesight) - now I updated within iOS18 and afterwards can update apps that require a minimum of 18.6. (like ice cubes for mastodon)
No good deed goes unpunished.
I checked my iphone., Software Update.
iOS 18.6.2
iOS is up to date
Full Moon.
I had Public Beta enabled for ios18 to avoid the ios26 nag which I had to turn off to see the 18.7.7 update buried under the ios26 update.
It could also not be fully rolled out to all users yet?
Thanks. Turning off beta releases brought up the ios26.4 screen and, the 18.7.7 update which is invisible until you guess to scroll, or someone suggests that you scroll.
Dark pattern? Sure.
I am opting for the 761MB instead of the 6.4 GB
