Show HN: View spending habits for 50 cents/month. Data stored locally, no sub
therealmyfiapp.comMyFi is an application that lets you view and analyze all your credit/debit card transactions. The model is pay as you go but there is a subscription available as well.
You can connect one company and view your data monthly for 50 cents. If you want to view it more frequently it's 10 cents per pull.
All data is stored locally on your device and accessible as CSV files.
The way it works is you login on the website, establish a connection with your bank, then use the desktop app to pull in your data. If you don't need access anymore, just disconnect your bank from the website and there won't be any more charges.
The idea behind MyFi is you are in control of how much you want to pay for your data. If you only need an update once a month then it's 50 cents for one bank.
Love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for reading! Interesting. How does myfi get the data? If I am connecting my card company etc, is it truly local data storage?
