Looking for contributors to your project? Feel free to post any project that may interest HN readers, with a strong preference towards open source. Please follow this general format:

Project name

Project description

What do you hope to build this month?

What kind of skills do you need?

Link to your GitHub or somewhere else you'd like to onboard new contributors, like your project management software or chat room.

Project name: groundctl

Project description: CLI tool that gives AI agents a shared execution layer when building in parallel. Agents claim work units, complete them, and always know what to build next, no duplicated work, no lost context between sessions.

What do you hope to build this month: Codex/Cursor hooks, multi-machine sync, and a path-based locking system so agents can't touch the same files simultaneously.

What kind of skills do you need: TypeScript, Node.js, SQLite, Claude Code / Codex users who want to dogfood it.

Link: https://github.com/patrickjoubert/groundctl MIT licensed. Built using groundctl itself.

Aphorio

Description:

I am writing a small home systems manager. It provides a dashboard for web server, docker, services, hardware details, and more. Its web servers allow for simply proxy configuration and serves http and web sockets on the same port. It is designed for easy of use and speed.

Tech:

Node.js application written in TypeScript. No frameworks and minimal dependencies. Currently supports Windows and Linux.

Current Work:

I was trying to convert internal data structures to an internal table based database. I am going to walk back from this because it turns out to be a performance penalty and highly restrictive.

Things Needed:

* I need feature ideas. I would like to add better tooling and performance analysis but I am not sure what additional use cases would be most beneficial

* Help writing test cases and finding defects

* Help needed with better documentation

* I don’t have Apple hardware but would love to add support for MacOS

* improvements to logging, error messaging

Project name: TNTStack

Project description: A monorepo template for building cross-platform apps. Write your code once and build for Web, Desktop, and Mobile.

What do you hope to build this month? I need to flesh out the landing page. Right now it only has a hero section, so I want to build out the missing parts (e.g Features, Pricing, etc. and a dedicated Download page UI) to make the template feel like a complete, out-of-the-box.

What kind of skills do you need? Frontend skills (Next.js, React, Tailwind, Shadcn UI etc.) to help design and implement the landing page sections.

Anyone looking for an easy first contribution: helping tweak the documentation, or reviewing/fixing our i18n translations (currently have 10 languages generated via LLM, so native speakers fixing them or adding new languages would be amazing).

QA / Testers to install and test the compiled application releases (desktop, mobile) on different operating systems, as well as test the CLI tool used to scaffold the project.

Project name: SkillCompass

Project description: A tool for testing, diagnosing, and improving AI agent skills. It helps make skill quality easier to inspect, compare, and improve over time instead of relying on guesswork.

Would also love people to just try it and tell us what feels useful vs. rough. Early feedback from people actually working with skills is probably the most valuable thing for us right now.

Project Syncable CLI -

Analysis Engine, made to engineers get a quick overview of their codebase, security scannings, vulenrability checks and dependency checks.

It also comes with skills giving Claude Code/Codex/Gemini build in native linting capabilities for Dockerfiles, Helm charts, k8s manifest alongside validation and assessment capabilities.

Still early days but would love some extra hands!
