Does HN have a DR plan for censorship?
HN seems like the sort of site that Hair Furor's gang might want to stifle at some point so we wonder if there's an alternate site or other provision made for dealing with that. It runs on two servers. Data replicated to a new box (or two) outside the US, DNS switched, easy peasy. Non US controlled tld if needed. What leads you to that conclusion? I agree with OP, but I don't have a solid reason or precedent. In my case, I get the "high school bully" vibe from the current regime and its militant supporters. Bullies don't like it when a group doesn't fear and adulate them, so I just assume censorship of subcultures is coming soon. In a merchantilist culture entrepreneurs are not exactly prized. Hear me out: Altman is signing deals with the pentagon and AWS (government sector) in the last thirty days or so. And blacklisting competitors (Anthropic). I’d say the protection money paid dividends.
