Ask HN: What do you think about Claude going down every day now?
Curious people's thoughts on this. To me it seems like a pretty huge contradiction of their claims for AI software dev if they can barely maintain a single 9 of uptime. > it seems like a pretty huge contradiction of their claims for AI software dev The outages might be ironic, but I don't think it's a huge contradiction. I use Opencode instead of Claude Code and it's been working fine for the past few weeks. Claude != Claude Code I mean more fundamentally, if they have access to even more advanced models than all of us and have this much downtime, does that imply that their models are possibly not so great at software dev? But yes you're definitely right, it's perhaps more ironic than contradictory.
