(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muqaddimah) Muqaddimmah is quite interesting but also pretty dense and some of it is quite boring. But Ibn Khaldun makes his best attempt to explain the life cycle of societies. There are countless great nuggets in there, but also some pretty strange and banal observations. Jeez, getting more and more like US customs here ...
