Once you’re part of the machine it’s just their agenda, not reality. Unless, of course, they’re defining reality. Usenet might have been real, but the ‘Net seems to be a daily Turing test or bot army fest. Gresham’s law and all that.

I've run into this issue once before. I watched the movie Run, Hide, Fight and thought it was great. I checked it out on RT and saw a huge gap between member scores and critic scores. The critics all basically just talked about how the movie was crap because of the subject material, while the viewers essentially just said the movie was entertaining.

It made me feel like the critics were just really snooty... one of the reasons I've never gotten into wine drinking, it just seems like the people heavily into it were really snooty about the whole thing.

What's the word, highfalutin?
