This article was never meant as a comparison between existing federated and decentralized protocols. But we do take up the challenge for the next, good idea!
All this about Nostr vs ActivityPub, but no mention of ATProto? If you're going to do a pros / cons, it would seem important to include the biggest network
Sorry, but I don't think the crypto based social media is ever going to attract sufficient developers and users to reach critical mass.
X is bigger than ATProto and wasn't included either?
