I build Distill to automate the process of doctors generating expert witness statements. I know this sounds insane, but hear me out.
When doctors are asked for second opinions on cases (like for insurance, workers comp, etc) they have to read 1000s of pages of text. Often this takes weeks and the files are barely legible documents from multiple different offices and claims companies.
We're HIPAA compliant and we hyperlink all claims to the original source doc. We also pull in info from state specific laws (of course, every state is different because America) and reference those.
It's a little more than RAG, since we have to add some specialized domain knowledge like taking into account specific insurance coverage data and medications/PT treatments to create disability scores.
My founding partner is a doctor who uses this really often and we've gotten out to a couple other doctor's office now, and they're loving it.
Hoping to expand to larger healthcare complexes as we go.
