Why is there no recent fiction with software engineer protagonists?

I don't know why this is so hard to find.

I'm just looking for recent fiction where the protagonist is someone like me, having a regular software development job, just doing normal dev stuff.

I've scoured Amazon and dug up just a bare handful. In Berlin, Annie Bot and God! Oh God!. All great, but there has to be more.

Any recommendations?
