Ask HN: Is there a way to browse HN weekly?
I'm trying to change my internet usage habits to be more on a weekly cadence, rather than daily. I dislike my current default state, where my usage of HN, Reddit and other internet platforms seems more like an involuntary habit or even addiction, and less of a deliberate choice.
At the same time I do get valuable info out of HN and don't want to miss out on it. How can I browse weekly, and not miss out? I've blocked some sites in /etc/hosts in the past. That gives just enough friction that opening the site isn't an automatic reflex anymore. It would be trivial to automate this: block HN in the hostfile and only unblock for an hour or two on Saturday evening, for example. Maybe via these URLs for each day of the week?
