Is Privacy an Illusion?
I've been seeing a lot of people these days hailing local LLM's as if they were the ultimate solution to AIing their workflows without data exposure to big tech.
What I don't see as much is these people explaining how are them securing the data that lives inside their SSDs. Short answer is yes. Long answer, it is. Who has access to your SSDs? Have you ever heard of burglars or angry girlfriends/boyfriends? That is the correct answer, but the question makes no sense. Why, may I ask? Once someone broke into my house and stole a laptop and an external drive. It may happen.
