Ask HN: Looking for Windows contributors for meeting-detection engine
I’m building an open-source meeting-detection engine (Node + Rust via napi-rs) that uses OS-level signals to detect when meetings start/end.
macOS support is solid, but I’m missing Windows coverage because I don’t have a Windows machine.
I’m looking for contributors to help implement/test:
• process detection (Zoom / Teams / Webex)
• active window/title enumeration
• basic network signals

Happy to break this into small, well-scoped issues. If you want help you want help so I’m not going to judge that, but claiming you don’t have access to a Windows machine in 2026? How about virtualization and computers in the cloud? Breaking down into specific issues would also help you find help as smaller and more specific asks are easier to respond to than the opposite. That's a good point I need someone with a Windows machine because I can’t install a virtual machine due to storage constraints.
