A New Anti-Political Fervor

This is the atavistic regression to the myth of the pure community, so homogeneous and so small that no problems ever arise. But if they do, then the final piece of the puzzle is the absence of any higher authority that could interfere with, or even have any visibility into, the self-policing of the pure community.
