> The org noted that the rescission of all of CPB’s federal funding

While many "rescissions" going on these days are unlawful/impeachable, this particular case stands out because Congress did pass something to support it.

Anyway, here's how your legislators voted, though the breakdown is mostly predictable.

* House: https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/119-2025/h168

* Senate: https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/119-2025/s411

So Congress voted to support it yet Trump decided not to distribute the funding Congress allocated. The US Constitution explicitly and clearly gives the "Power of the Purse" to the legislative branch not the executive

In any sane world this alone would lead to impeachment

    The links provided by @Terr_ above show that this particular de-funding was indeed approved and ratified by the legislative branch, passed by the house and the senate, signed into law by the president, in July of 2025.

    So, under the color of legal and proper authority, deed done, second shoe now drops.

    In any sane world Donald Trump's political career would have ended as soon as the words "grab them by the pussy" became public.

    But we don't live in a sane world. We live in a world where having a weird scream or creepy looking smile or being a bit awkward will end your political career but bragging about being able to get away with sexual assault because of your wealth on tape just makes you more endearing.
