Ask HN: Why is savannah.gnu.org down so much and what are the alternatives?
I'm trying to get my hands on some of the source code for GNU SW. I really need to access the ORIGINAL source code uploaded on GNU and not one of the mirrors available on GitHub. It seems like savannah is the only place where version-controlled source code is hosted but I cannot access it at all; I've tried several times over the past few days. Is this some IP issue or is the website down that often? Slow, down, and often ip blocking. > Down How do the maintainers manage to work with such high downtime? > IP Blocking This is the first time I'm using it, that too without any agents, VPN etc. Any reason why would my IP be blocked?
