Ask HN: Favorite Nonfiction Books of 2025
What are your favorite nonfiction books of 2025 (Read in 2025)? Have mostly read novels this year, but when I have read non-fiction it was mostly extracts for my personal research, not necessarily cover to cover. I will try to give a wide range: * "The New Wild: Why Invasive Species Will Be Nature's Salvation" by Fred Pearce. A very different view of ecosystems. * "In the Land of Invented Languages" by Arika Okrent. Very entertaining. * "Bully Inc." by Peter Burnett * "The Radium Girls" by Kate Moore I have also read a lot of Biblical Pseudepigrapha and some works from the Ethiopian canon. Read in 2025 - Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker Nuclear War: A Scenario by Annie Jacobsen Night by Elie Wiesel I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette Mccurdy (A re-read. Read it first in 2022) Noam Chomsky (114 books) Check this name in any tpb clone. I appreciate this man and all of his works. Time will tell, he's in the Epstein files and took money off him.
