SDPD captain helped secure a surveillance deal. Now he works for flock

The San Diego PD is a gigantic clusterfuck of cronyism, illegal behavior, civil rights violations, and other unsavory issues. For a while it was run by the federal level, because SDPD was basically deemed incompetent. Think things like allowing college students to nearly die is isolation.

Sexual assault allegations, shooting a 16 year old in the back recently garnered a $30M settlement.

SDPD is a joke.
